Kickstarter Campaign: The Home Stretch!

by Sean Gates

September 13th, 2012 - One of the things I've been wanting to post about on the site for about three weeks now, is our new Kickstarter campaign. Launched at 8:22pm ET on August 22nd, we set out to raise $5000 to continue filming this fall, since the summer didn't yield all of the results we were hoping for, due to a variety of reasons, mostly money and time.

For those of you unfamiliar with how this works, we provide rewards at the various pledge levels, starting at $5, so you're not giving us something for nothing. Our rewards to you include a PDF art book, tickets to a digital screening of the film, DVD and Blu-ray preorders, the chance to sponsor the development of a single frame of the film, and the opportunity to have your name in the credits, either in the thank you section or as an Executive Producer. You can give as little or as much as you want to, from $1 to all of the dollars. There's no risk to you and no risk to us.

I'm thrilled to report that as of this writing, the campaign has yielded pledges that total $4101, a whopping 82% of our goal!

There's one week left before the campaign ends at 8:21pm ET on September 21st. Kickstarter's rules state that if we don't reach our goal before that exact date and time, we'll get none of the money pledged to us, and none of our backers will receive their rewards. So we're all counting on you! If you haven't pledged your support yet, now is the time. Without this funding, work on our film will be set back by about a year, delaying the completion and release of the movie yet again.

We do realize that times are tough for a lot of people right now, and as such we understand if you just can't help us out. But even $1 helps, so if you can spare it, consider making the pledge.

Either way, we hope you'll check out our pitch and the various updates that we've made over the past few weeks, and decide for yourself whether or not you believe in us!

My God, it's full of forums...
